Honda Brio Review, New small segment Car Launched in India at price Rs 3.95L

Honda is one of the most premium car manufacturer and has a excellent hold in the car market. The company has come up with most successful Sedan cars like Honda City, the royal car “Accord” and the most exclusive one “Honda Civic”. These three cars have achieved great milestones and are still achieving 5 star excellence with there upgraded and new versions. But if we talk about there hatchback category they have only one car in its category “Honda Jazz” which turns to be somewhere unsuccessful because of its high price range. But now they are again in the hatchback car market with its new car “Honda Brio” which will for Indian and Thailand market and also for some south asian countries. In Thailand the car was launched in March 2011 and in India it was launched on September 27, 2011. The assembly will be done in India in Greater Noida.

Honda Brio Models

The base model is Brio E MT which do not include any kind of accessories like leather seat covers, CD player, Anti lock brake system and power windows but is fitted with body colored bumpers, Central locking, power steering and Air conditioner. The price of this model is Rs 3,95,000 INR

The next one is Brio S MT this model is loaded with every feature which is there in above model but the exception is anti lock braking system and leather cover. The covers are not available in any variant and its Ex-Showroom price is Rs 4,35,000 INR

Another is Brio S option MT includes all above accessories and adding to this it also includes adjustable Steering, front two seats safety air bags and ABS technology. Its Ex-Showroom Range is Rs 4,90,000 INR

Its last and High End Model is Honda Brio V MT which is fitted with every feature with is present in all the three models and moreover it has Fog lights in front and Alloy wheels. Its price is Rs 5,10,000 and is worth buying.

                                                                                                   The front nose of this new Brio gives a compact look and is centrally fitted with chrome grill which carries a bold Honda Sign. Below it there is bumped which is painted same as the body color of the car holds a black flashy plastic grill which is fitted with Fog lights at both the ends. The front lights are Halogen head lights, the outside rear view mirrors are electrically controlled from inside.The back of the car carries a light spoiler, and the rear lights are beautifully shaped which gives a excellent look to this new segment. The high end variant carries Alloy wheels and the. Honda Brio is available in Six colors; Energetic Blue, Alabaster Silver, Rallye Red, Urban Titanium, Crystal Black Pearl & Taffeta White.

As you can see the Brio is much spacious from inside and there is sufficient leg space. The beige interior color gives an elegant look and the two color door i.e. beige and grey makes it different. It has a broad dashboard centrally fitted with A.C with heater and CD player. Engine & Mileage

This new car is fitted with 1.2L i-VTEC engine, the 1198 cc displacement has 4 cylinders and 16 valves produces a maximum power of  88 PS at 6000 rpm. With all this outputs the mileage of this car is 18.4 km/L and the fuel capacity of the tank is 35 km. The thing is all Honda Brio variants are available in petrol version and there is Diesel model so this could be a disadvantage.

Transmission and Brake System

Each variant has manual transmission as there is every car 5 forward gears and 1 reverse gear. Another disadvantage could be non Auto transmission. The front tyres are fitted with Disc brake and rear tyres have drum brake.

Dimensions, Availability and Price

You can say that it is much small in size or rather compact in size with 3610 x 1680 x 1500 mm which weighs around 940 Kg. Its wheelbase is 2345 mm and Ground clearance is 165 mm. The car has been launched in India but is not On road as the booking has started and in the rest south Asian market it is launched. All Ex-Showroom prices are there above mentioned in all Models but the On Road prices are still unkown.
