Bajaj Pulsar 200NS Technical Specifications, Features & Price

This morning, one of the biggest Two Wheeler Giant “Bajaj” launched there most awaited Pulsar 2012 model, and is named Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS. This new model is revealed in Red color and is also available in different colors. As we all know that Pulsar has already crossed a Decade, and is performing better and better during every launch.

The new Pulsar 200NS is fitted with Liquid cooled DOHC type 199.5cc Engine, now you all must be thinking What is DOHC? This means Double Overhead Camshaft, that means the engine has dual camshaft; one camshaft operated the intake valves and the other operates on Exhaust Valve. The engine produces a maximum Torque of  18.3 NM @ 8000 rpm and maximum power of 23.52 PS @ 9000 rpm.


The front suspension of the bike is telescopic type with a diameter of 37 mm like any other bike.But for the first time in the history of Bajaj Pulsar; its rear suspension is Mono type Nitrox Shock absorber and is fitted with a small plastic container, which a carries a fluid for rear disc brake. You can see the picture of it below.

Both the Tyres are fitted with Disc brakes for high security, the front Disc is of 280 mm diameter and the rear disc is of 230 mm diameter.

Overall Performance and Acceleration:

The new Bajaj Pulsar 2012 200NS, gives the maximum speed of 136 kmph and reaches the acceleration from 0-60 in 3.61 seconds and 0-100 in 9.83 seconds, which is far better as compared too all previous variants of pulsar.

The overall body frame of Pulsar 200NS bike is of pressed steel frame which makes the overall dimensions in 2017 mm  x 1195 mm x 804 mm. The tank capacity is 12 L which could be a Con for it as the other pulsar models has tank capacity of around 18L. This makes the weight of the pulsar at 145 kg. The wheel base of the bike is 1363 mm and Ground clearance is 167 mm. This new variant i.e. Pulsar 200NS will be available in DC system Ignition


Both the tyres are tubeless in which the front tyre is of 100/80-17 size and rear tyre is of 130/70 size. These tyres are fitted in alloy rims.

Price and Availablity of Bajaj Pulsar 200NS:

The price of Bajaj Pulsar 200NS has not yet announced but is expected to be around Rs90,000 in India. The bike will be available in India and will go up for sale in April 2012.

I think this new launch will create sensation in the market of high range bikes and will give tough competition to Yamaha motor bikes.
