This week Apple rolled out 2 new Ipad’s in the market, one is upgraded version of Ipad Mini i.e. Ipad Mini 2 and the all new and the lightest of all Apple Ipads i.e. Apple Ipad Air. Here we are going to elaborate a comparison between these 2 Ipads, however their is not much difference in the specifications but still their are few to list below.
The main difference between both of these ipads is there dimensions and screen size. Apple Ipad Air has 9.7 inches LED IPS LCD capacitive display with pixel density of 264 ppi, where Apple Ipad Mini 2 has 7.9 inches capacitive touch screen display with pixel density of 324 ppi which gives and clearer picture quality as compared to Ipad Air.
The overall body dimensions are obviously different due to its screen size, but noticeable part is that both the Ipads are slim to 7.5 mm. Ipad Air weighs around weighs around 469 gm wheras Mini 2 is only 331 gm. Both the ipads are powered with non removable batteries, but Ipad Air is installed with 32.4 Wh battery and the other is of 23.8 Wh battery. Ipad Mini 2 is basically for those who want small and lighter tab to roam around.
The operating system of both the Ipad is same, they are running on all new IOS 7.0.3 OS integrated on 1.3 Ghz Dual Core processor and 1 GB DDR3 Ram. The internal memory is yet again same, as they will be available in market in 16/31/64/128 GB versions.
These Ipads are packed with 5 MP rear camera and 1.2 MP front camera. Some other pre installed applications are like Air drop file sharing, iCloud service, iCloud keychain and many more. Both the Ipads can run on GSM and CDMA Nano SIM cards in 2G, 3G and 4G LTE. The price of Ipad Air starts from $499 and Ipad Mini 2 $399 in USA market.
